We expect WSBK to be dominated by the factory Kawasaki team. Johnathan Rea’s performance last year was no fluke, he clearly dominated and after three rounds this year he looks strong. Chaz Davies however, will be the monkey wrench in the works for Rea. Davies clearly has an outstanding package with his Ducati and we expect that he will challenge for at least a quarter of the races. Anytime athletes are in competition there will be ruffled feathers and difficulties in friendships. It is my opinion that we will not experience anything like what we saw in MotoGP with Rossi and Marquez.
Rea and Sykes has demonstrated excellent levels of professionalism despite what must be a difficult working situation. We do expect a very interesting season with the likes of Van Der Mark and hopefully at some point Nicky Haden challenging for podium positions. We are sure that it will be a very competitive and close championship, we can only hope that Rea does not just plain run off with it.
